Général Schablikine

Gilbert Nabonnand created many Teas roses but few survived the 20th century when Hybrid Teas reigned supreme.

Général Schablikine, luckily, was one that survived and with good reason. Nice rounded shape, always blooming with stunning red flowers. What's not to like?

Flowers are red with coppery shading and almost purple reverse. They are large, full and cupped. A good Tea fragrance adds to its beauty. The rose blooms in flushes throughout the season

200 X 200 cm or 6 X 6 feet. Zone 7b to 10b, heat, drought and rain resistant. A very fine rose

Probably a descendant of Safrano à fleurs rouges or red Safrano
