Mrs B.R. Cant

Mrs B.R. Cant, Cant 1901

Tea

Descendant of Safrano à fleurs Rouges (Red Safrano)

Mrs B.R. Cant probably bears the biggest and most full blooms of all Tea shrubs. The blooms are cupped at first, pink to red pink, packed with petals. Later the flower turns more rosette shaped. A very lush and baroque flower. The fragrance is strong, raspberry with a touch of bitterness which adds to the beauty of the flowers. The blooms have the typical "weak neck" syndrome which most teas have so they nod towards us.

These beautiful blooms keep appearing all summer and autumn long adorning your garden or your home as she's a fantastic cut flower.

Growth is vigorous in all directions and she'll make a rounded shrub of 240X200 cm or 7X6 feet but that's in ideal circumstances so probably she'll stay smaller. Because of her height she can be trained as a small climber.

Health is good with little susceptibility to Blackspot. Flowers are rain and heat proof. Zone 7b to 11b

If you had to choose one Tea you should take Mrs B.R. Cant.

Highly recommended rose
