Anna Jung

The great Nabonnand dynasty created so many Teas and Anna Jung was one of them.

Anna was the result of the cross between Marie Van Houtte and Général Schablikine and came on the market around 1902.

Flowers are medium to large, very double to double and in the colors light pink with salmon pink highlights and carmine pink outer petals. They are borne solitary and are moderately fragrant. This rose is a good example of the "weak neck syndrome" and the flowers are hanging down as if the plant can't hold them upright. Many Teas suffer from it but it has become a distinctive feature of the Teas. They inherited it from the China's.

Anna Jung can grow into a nice rounded shrub of 150X100 cm or 6X4 feet

Zone 7b to 10b, heat and drought resistant. Medium rain tolerant. Needs a warm and sunny spot to thrive in cooler climates.
