Lamarque

Lamarque is one of those royalty roses just like Maréchal Niel and Gloire de Dijon. She's said to be a Tea Noisette or climbing Tea and was bred by Maréchal in 1830.

Big, very double, white with yellow shading and darker center, cupped to flat blooms. Moderate to strong Tea with lemon fragrance. They are borne mostly solitary in clusters and appear all season long.

Parentage is debated but today they think it was Blush Noisette crossed with Park's Yellow tea scented China

It's not a small rose and she can grow up to 450cm X 350 cm or 14 X 11 feet. She's ideal for covering arches, trellis, pergola's, façades or small garden structures.

She needs a warm spot to thrive and her hardiness zone is 7b to 10b. She can ball in wet weather but it depends from garden to garden.
Drought and heat resistant. Don't try her in areas with rather cold winters.
She doesn't like pruning.
