Mme Trifle

Daughters of Gloire de Dijon are also called Dijon Teas and this Mme Trifle is also one of them. Bred by Levet in France in 1869 Mme Trifle deserves a comeback

Very large, very full, old fashioned, quartered blooms in pale yellow blend with light Faun shading turning into Cream with aging. Moderate Tea fragrance. They make a lush, baroque impression. Borne mostly solitary the flowers appear in flushes throughout the season.

Mme Trifle is a rather stiff rose and can be grown as a shrub or as a small climber against a trellis or fence. Height: up to 2 meters or six feet. Don't prune!

Zone 7b to 10b, heat and drought resistant. Rain tolerance is fairly good. Needs heat and full sun to perform best

Named after the godmother of Claude Levet
